Trailer Tuesday (27)

To be honest, I've only ever read one Alex Rider book.  But this trailer was just irresistible.

The color scheme was amazing, the art beautiful, the voice actors awesome - I might have to start reading the series again, if only for this trailer.  What do you think of the trailer?

Trailer Tuesday (26)

Wow.  I saw this trailer without any idea of what the book was about, and I was hooked.  The unique animation style, the scary sound effects, the creepy chalk writing - it's just an awesome trailer, period.  And then I read the description on Amazon... and now I serious can not wait to get my hands on this book!  What do you think of this video (and Inside Out itself)?

Trailer Tuesday (25)

This is quite the intriguing trailer - simple, to the point, and yet mysterious and edgy at the same time.  Also, the red swirls are beautiful and just a little eerie.  The Truth About Celia Frost will be coming out in August (according to Goodreads,) and I think I might just have to read it... What do you think of this trailer?

Trailer Tuesday (24)

Best - book - trailer - ever?!  I think so!  I don't care that it's two years old - I am seriously in love with this video, and I have to get my hands on Pastworld!

Well, I loved it to death - what did you think of this video?

Trailer Tuesday (23)

I like the unusual video game-style animation of this video - it really works.  Plus the little "dead stylish, dead powerful, dead," quotes were pretty funny.  Overall, I thought this video was clever, intriguing, and unique.  What do you think of this video?

Trailer Tuesday (22)

I love the music for this trailer - slightly tinny music-box music.  It fits the whole Gothic air of the trailer quite well.  The music was my favorite part, but I also liked the little teaser sentences - really makes me curious about the book.  Overall, I liked this trailer - and now I want to read Eternal.  What did you think of this trailer?

Trailer Tuesday (21)

Great music, gorgeous undersea special effects, exciting teasers - what's not to love?  Dark Life was one of the first books I reviewed on novapsych; I was thrilled to discover that it had such an excellent book trailer!  What did you think of this video?

Trailer Tuesday (20)

I've only recently started reading the Keys to the Kingdom series, but I love it!  And wow, is this trailer perfect for the series!  A bit creepy, a lot whimsical, just a little jarring - it's amazing.  I love the music, which fits perfectly, and the art is spectacular.  New favorite book trailer?  I think so.  What do you think of this trailer?

Trailer Tuesday (19)

God, this video scared me!  I actually jumped twice while watching it.  And it's just plain eerie.  Great acting, great special effects, great all around.  One of my favorite trailers of all time, I think.

I didn't have a clue what this book was about when I stumbled on the trailer.  But the music - and the eerie trickling water - got me hooked.  Now I really, really want to read Beautiful Malice.

This week's trailer: The Clockwork Three by Matthew J. Kirby.  Okay, I'm a sucker for steampunk and I'm a sucker for violins.  Together?  Wow.  This video is a little creepy, a lot awesome, and makes me really, really want to read the book!  (For more info on the book and fun stuff like a sample chapter, check out the website)

What do you think about this trailer?  And what's your favorite trailer?

Today's trailer: Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck.  The book itself sounds interesting - you can check out the website if you want to know more.  The trailer is amazing!  I love the Indian art influences and (what sounds to my uneducated ear like) Indian music.  I actually watched this trailer over and over again at least four times because I liked it so much!

Trailer Tuesday

This trailer is super-suspenseful; the music is a little eerie and the "blurring" special effects were really cool.  To be honest this trailer freaks me out a little - but it also makes me really curious about the book!

More about Shadow Hills - sounds like a cool book, no?

Warning: this video may induce compulsive hand-washing.

It's a little eerie and a little icky, okay, but it also really piques my interest.  I'm actually a little fascinated.

So you've probably heard of Across the Universe by now - I know I've seen it on several different book blogs and websites.  The trailer just came out not long ago, and it's pretty cool.  I love the narration and the suspense the video builds.  It makes you really, really curious to see what the book's all about.

Across the Universe is due to be published approximately 28 days, 17 hours, 42 minutes, and 45 seconds from the time I write this post, according to the lovely website.  Check out the website and read the first chapter - frankly, it's amazing.  I can't wait until January!

Trailer Tuesday (12)

This week's trailer is for Vixen, by Jillina Larkin.  Now I'm not usually a fan of historical fiction books, but wow, I love this trailer!

The music is gorgeous, the clothes are fabulous... I love the "snapshot" style of this video, and the way that everything comes together perfectly!  I think this might be my favorite book trailer I've seen in a while now.

(If you're interested in Vixen, it's coming out in December and is the first in a new series!)

Trailer Tuesday (11)

I discovered this week's trailer through Random Buzzers, and I liked it so much I had to share it here.

First of all, a book trailer that actually takes place in the pages of a book?  Pretty cool!  Plus the special effects - the animated-sketches feel - was really interesting and new.  After seeing this trailer, I'm pretty sure I want to read this book!  What do you guys think of this trailer?

(Also, The Emerald Atlas also has a lovely website here, if you want to know more!)

Trailer Tuesday (10)

Today's trailer is for a book called Unwind.  I'd never heard of it until, browsing YouTube, I clicked on this video... well, watch it for yourself.

Can you say creepy?  But so exciting at the same time.  Plus, I love the music!  I wasn't too sure about some of the pictures flashed, though - maybe they make more sense once you've read the book, but for me they seemed a little disjointed.  Regardless, I have to get my hands on this book!

What do you think of this trailer?  And what's your favorite book trailer?

Trailer Tuesday (9)

I read Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty a while ago, so the details are a little fuzzy.  I remember really enjoying it, though.  And so when I stumbled on this trailer, I had to post it.

Now to tell the truth, this isn't actually how I pictured these girls at all.  But it's got great atmosphere, I love the music, and I love the storytelling-narration style of the trailer.  What do you think of this trailer? And what's your favorite book trailer?

Trailer Tuesday (8)

I've decided to switch to only one trailer, as there are only a limited number of cool book trailers and I'd like to keep this meme going for a while. But don't worry, they'll be good ones.

Here's this week's: The Forest of Hands and Teeth.

Things I Love About This Trailer:

-The narrator has the perfect voice for this!
-I am now majorly creeped out. Scary trailers are amazing!
-I desperately need to read this book, ASAP!

What do you think of this trailer - love it, or hate it? And what's your favorite book trailer?
